Requirements
• Ensure the safety, wellbeing and supervision of children at all times.
• Provide high-quality care that meets the individual needs of each child.
• Build warm, positive and trusting relationships to promote secure attachments.
• Support children's emotional, social and physical development.
• Assist children with personal care routines, including toileting, nappy changing, handwashing and mealtimes, where required.
• Establish consistent routines that promote healthy habits, independence and self-help skills.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences and opportunities.
• Support children's language, communication and early literacy development through meaningful interactions.
• Observe, monitor and record children's progress and developmental milestones.
• Identify any concerns regarding children's development and communicate them appropriately.
• Work with teachers and school management team to implement support strategies when required.
• Develop positive partnerships with parents/guardians and communicate regularly regarding children's wellbeing, development and any educational, social or behavioural concerns.
• Adhere to all school policies, procedures and practices, including health and safety, safeguarding, equal opportunities and data protection.
• Promote the school in a positive light within the wider community.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the school management.
